"I've just finished my level 3 introduction to dog grooming at animal magic with Julie Dowle. It really is a crash course in dog grooming, and there is a requirement to learn lots of theory alongside the practical training. Julie instilled in me a great emphasis on the health and safety aspect of dog grooming, which I have found invaluable and don’t think it was something that I had anticipated prior to training. The training school is small in comparison to what I imagined a college course could offer, and as such I benefited from lots of hands-on experience and direct training from Julie right from day one, from using different techniques, to always having the health and safety of the dog at the forefront of my mind. It pushed me out of my comfort zone on a few occasions, but with guidance I now feel more confident to groom on my own. Julie's still in the process of finishing some of the set up and design of the salon, but once completed, it will be an excellent facility to train in.
